CHEESEBURGER IN PARADISE?

A second black panther siting today. Ran in front of our car as we drove along hwy 75 towards Indiantown.

But even 'less' exciting....
Last nite....
10:30pm

All is quiet in this sleepy little place named Indiantown Marina.
Peter and I are brushing our teeth, getting ready for bed
I'm in my birthday suit, lights are out (good thing cuz I'm in my birthday suit)
Drapes all closed.
I mention to Peter that there is a rather unusual number of car lights reflecting into our stern from the parking lot. Odd, but not earth shattering or remotely interesting....one would think.
Suddenly there are bright flashlights jumping all over our boat, followed quickly by loud banging on the side of our hull.
Wha???
"Anybody in there? This is the Sheriffs Office!"
Wha???
Peter (trusting soul that he is) steps outside and goes to the bow of the boat.
I scramble for clothes!
Me (not so trusting) grab my cell phone and get ready to call 911. After all, that could be anyone out there, not the Sheriffs Office just because they say so!
I can hear a man speaking to Peter.
Slowly, I poke my head around the corner outside the boat.
Yup. It's a man in a Sheriffs uniform alright. Several men actually. Four cars in the parking lot facing our boat!
Seems there was a report of a stolen vessel in the area. A dark blue hulled boat. They scanned all the boats in the water and found only one dark blue hull. Ours!
Peter invites them aboard, explaining who we are...blah blah blah.
They decline, deciding we are not the thieves and the boat is not stolen. They offer up their apologies for having disturbed us so late and for scaring us.
Peter responds, "No problem, we are fine and we weren't scared".
I blurt out "yes we were! Look! I'm holding my cell phone getting ready to dial 911 for help!"
The Sheriff responds by saying, "well, we are already here. Fast survice don't you think?"
Needless to say, I was not able to fall asleep after all that commotion.

It's very quiet and uneventful here in Indiantown. Just the occasional gator swimming beside us in our dinghy, black panthers jumping out in front of us while on a walk, and every so often, the Sheriffs Office makes itself known to a select few.

Cheeseburger in Paradise anyone?
